Brandy Cassandra

Artist Statement:

Through my drawings and paintings, I aim to capture the complex emotions of the human experience. Drawing inspiration from my own life journey, I seek to create art that resonates with viewers on a deep and personal level. My work explores themes of joy and sorrow, hope and despair, love and loss, inviting the audience to contemplate the beauty and complexity of existence.

Brandy Cassandra's Story:

Brandy Cassandra found solace and inspiration in art from a young age, ultimately pursuing a career as a professional artist. Originally from Los Angeles, she grew-up in Flower Mound, Texas. In 2008, Brandy relocated to Orlando to work for the Walt Disney Company. She earned her associate degree (AA) from Valencia College in 2012 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree (BA) in Art at The University of Central Florida in 2015. After graduation, she founded ‘Brandy Cassandra Creations’, where Brandy specializes in custom drawings and paintings. 

Over the years, Brandy Cassandra has been extremely active in Florida’s art scene. In 2017, she was elected ‘Artist of the Year’ in Orlando. In 2018, Brandy Cassandra was a special guest speaker for the Florida State Association of Occupational Health Nurses (FSAOHN) Conference, where she shared her stories about her personal health experiences through her art. In 2020, she was voted ‘First Place’ for speed-painting at The Social Orlando’s ‘Artist Blitz’ competition. She has performed live painting and drawing for various weddings and events including an awards ceremony at the Orlando Museum of Art. Her works have been exhibited coast-to-coast in the United States.

In 2024, Brandy Cassandra relocated back to her home state of Texas, and currently resides in Dallas with her loyal companion, her 13-year-old dog Panama. She is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration (MBA) at the University of Purdue Global, which she hopes will help her realize her dream of owning her own Art and Music business where she can pass on the love of the creative arts as well as showcase her own work.

She continues to create art that reflects the beauty and complexity of life, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions and experiences through her evocative artwork. She looks forward to the new experiences from which she will find inspiration here in Texas, her home state once again.

Drawing upon her own experiences of joy and tragedy, Brandy infuses her artwork with a raw and honest emotion that resonates with her audience. Whether creating vibrant and hopeful pieces or contemplative and melancholic works, she captures the essence of the human condition with sensitivity and authenticity.
